Our Story

Srinivasa Nimmagadda, a born leader and driven entrepreneur, first ventured into business ownership through the technology industry. Having been successful within the IBM team for several years, Mr. Nimmagadda knew he could start a successful company, and the rest is history. The first of Mr. Nimmagadda’s business repertoire was Vensai Technologies which was started in his basement and quickly expanded to Dubai, Qatar and India. A testament to his drive and passion for success, Mr. Nimmagadda continued to work two jobs as his company developed into the flourishing entity it is today.   

As his hunger for the food industry and his passion for cooking grew, Mr. Nimmagadda knew he wanted to begin a new venture within the restaurant business. The Sankranti concept was the answer.   

Sankranti was chosen as the name due to its positive connotation. The words are representative of a festival within India in which people of all kinds and backgrounds come together. Once the concept was decided upon, Sankranti was custom built within the Johns Creek, Georgia area. Since its success, Sankranti has also become a QSR model that will make the healthy, delicious tastes of the establishment attainable and convenient for everyone throughout the U.S.
